Earthen Vessels Pottery

Description:

Earthen Vessels Pottery by Michelle Curtis is made entirely from real leaves and flowers pressed into stoneware clay then glazed and fired to cone 5-6. All items are my origional designs and are inspired by God's beautiful created world. Much of my ceramic art can be viewed on my website. I always have special, show only, designs which are specific to each venue, which are not shown there. To know what items I will have for Portland, you'll have to come to my booth to find out!

My work includes free form masks, baskets made entirely from stoneware clay, platters, wall vases, sconces, maple leaf bowls, fern platters and dishes, calla lily leaf and flower items, small leaf dishes, coasters, spoon rests and many other items.

I also have a fun backyard and bird line which incorporates colored clays with just a touch of glaze. I try and make each item resemble a French Garden growing on a pastel birdhouse. My whimsical bird baths and garden bells are decorated with flora and insects. This line has been well received so they sell out quickly!
