In 2008, Sylvie Gbeteh was visiting her mother in Lomé, Togo, when she heard the joyful voices of children singing at the Marie Reine de la Paix Orphanage.
Despite their hardships, their laughter and songs filled the air with hope — and touched Sylvie’s heart forever. Sylvie felt called to act.

“Seeing how they lived broke my heart,” she recalls. “I wanted to do something for them. I wanted to make them smile.”

And so, SmileGiver Batik was born — a brand built on love, creativity, and purpose.
Each handmade batik t-shirt, bag, and accessory is created with vibrant African designs, celebrating culture, color, and connection.

Every purchase makes a difference — 10% of proceeds support Orphelinat la Solution in Togo, helping provide food, clothing, bedding, and education for children in need.
